Detroit, MI (April 25, 2019) – Actor and Comedian Todd Bridges, will speak about overcoming childhood trauma and addiction at a luncheon on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at The Roostertail, 100 Marquette Drive, Detroit, MI 48214.
The former childhood star and 80’s pop icon, best known for his role as Willis on the hit TV sitcom Diff’rent Strokes, will share his story of recovery from sexual abuse and addiction with a crowd of about 250 people at the 2019 Team Cares Luncheon.
“Mr. Bridges’ struggles reflect the struggles of many of the people that we serve.” said Pamela Jastrabek, President and CEO of Team Wellness Center. “We chose him to be the speaker for this year’s luncheon because his story is both courageous and inspiring.”
The annual luncheon is sponsored by Team Cares, Inc., the non-profit entity of Team Wellness Center which treats more than 13,000 Metro Detroiters for mental illness, addiction, dental and primary care at its clinics in Detroit and Southgate.
Tickets for the luncheon are $50 and sponsorships are also available. Proceeds from the event will help feed, clothe, provide healthcare and treatment for men, women and children who need it most.
