Team Wellness Center Activates Cooling Centers in Detroit

Westland, MI (September 7, 2022) – Team West is officially open to serve patients, having welcomed its first patients on Tuesday, September 6th. Located at 34290 Ford Rd. Westland, MI 48185, the modern 9,800-square-foot facility has a total of 32 exam rooms and offers integrated mental health, primary care, and substance use treatment services.

“We have seen the positive impact of offering mental health, primary care, and substance use services under one roof at our other clinics across Wayne County,” said Michael Hunter, President of Team Wellness Center. “We are excited to offer these same quality services to the Westland community and the surrounding Western Wayne communities.”

The clinic hours are:
Monday & Wednesday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Mental health services offered at Team West include care coordination/case management, psychiatry, and therapy. Primary care services include annual checkups, physicals, screenings, urgent care for non-life-threatening illnesses, care for chronic conditions (Diabetes, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure), and referrals to specialists.

Substance use disorder services at Team West address the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs through treatment and therapy. This includes medication-assisted treatment using Suboxone, an evidence-based detox medication that decreases the physical cravings and withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid use.

Team West is accepting new patients. Adults ages 18 and up are eligible for all services and children ages 12 and up are eligible for primary care services.
