Detroit, MI (April 3, 2024) – Team Wellness Center (Team), a leading provider of integrated health services, is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Andrea Scheid, a highly respected and board-certified pediatrician, to its team of healthcare professionals. This new addition is a part of Team’s strategy to further expand the offering of comprehensive patient-centered care to children and families in Wayne County.
Dr. Scheid comes to Team after serving as the Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak. She also directed the inpatient rotation for pediatric medicine, family medicine, and emergency medicine residents and students at William Beaumont Oakland University School of Medicine.
“I am thrilled to join Team Wellness Center and to have the opportunity to serve the families in our community,” said Dr. Scheid. “I am passionate about providing comprehensive and holistic care to children, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure that every child receives the highest standard of healthcare possible.”
Dr. Scheid will see patients on a rotating basis at Team’s Detroit and Southgate clinics. She will also oversee pediatric services at Team’s new children and youth center slated to open later this year.

About Dr. Andrea Scheid
Dr. Scheid brings with her more than 15 years of experience caring for children and their families. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. After completing her undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University Honors College, Dr. Scheid earned her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
