As our children grow, they can begin to experience unexplained or unexpected behavioral changes. This can often be frustrating for parents who don’t know where to go for help.

Team Wellness Center provides comprehensive behavioral health services for families with children ages 5 to 17.

Children and adolescents may struggle with a variety of issues that can significantly impact their lives. Our behavioral health program is designed to help children and families navigate challenging situations and build the skills they need to thrive. If your child is struggling with any of the following symptoms, we can help:

• Anger and/or Rage Episodes
• Lack of Focus
• Defiance
• Trouble Sleeping
• Significant Changes in Mood
• Bullying
• Depression and/or Anxiety

Our behavioral health programs include four critical components. The first step is a psychiatric evaluation, which helps us to better understand a child and/or family’s unique situation, history, and needs. Our providers will then conduct a medical review to determine if there are any underlying medical conditions that need to be addressed, collaborating with primary care providers, therapists, and other specialists to ensure that all issues are identified and treated. We will then build an individualized treatment plan, based on evidence-based practices and research. The most commonly utilized types of therapy and other treatment modalities include:

• Stages of Change/Motivational Interviewing

Following the start of treatment, our case management team provides ongoing support and resources, including school support, individualized education plans (IEPs), behavioral plans, parenting strategies, more. We also provide foster care support to help children and families navigate the challenges of the foster care system. We hope that this ongoing support increases the likelihood of continuous participation in Team Wellness Center programs and continuity of care.
