HR Generalist

We are presently seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to provide support in all functional areas, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, workers compensation, leave management, and I-9 compliance for our growing organization.
As a Human Resources Generalist with Team Wellness, you will:
- Manage the organization’s performance management program, including 90-day reviews and annual reviews, as well as collecting and summarizing data for the Human Resources Director and senior leadership
- Provide support to Clinical Directors and Supervisors in identifying and addressing employee performance issues
- Work with employees, management, and legal counsel to resolve employment issues
- Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, managing disputes, conducting investigations, and facilitating terminations
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, as well as providing review and approval on all disciplinary and/or termination matters
- Update, maintain, and distribute employment posters, including Wage and Hour, OSHA, workers compensation, and federal and state employment postings
- Manage the workers compensation process for all claims, maintaining detailed reporting on claims for analysis regarding trends and areas for improvement
- Manage the leave of absence process, ensuring adherence to FMLA requirements, tracking and applying FMLA and other available leave time, and obtaining recertifications as necessary
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, including periodically reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law
- Oversee the company’s I-9 Compliance Program, including the review of all new hire Form I-9’s and the tracking of all necessary reverifications
- Assist the Human Resources Director and legal counsel to coordinate EEOC and other claims and litigation matters
- Process status changes within HRIS, maintaining electronic and physical files
- Provide assistance with recruiting efforts, as needed; including management of job postings, phone screening, facilitating and conducting interviews, and information management within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees as needed, ensuring all aspects of onboarding are completed timely and in an efficient manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; may substitute commensurate experience, training, or certification in lieu of formal degree if currently in progress
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources related functions, required; experience in employee relations, leave management, workers compensation, and performance management, highly preferred
- SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR certification, highly preferred
- Working knowledge of all pertinent employment laws and regulations, required
- Proven ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet various deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills
